Fish Kiss
Post Jam Update:
Welp, the votes are in and even though I didn't do particularly well this game jam, I DID have fun making this! I kept working on the game and the game after the submission deadline passed and am very proud of what I've made. I still plan to continue working on this as time allows, but I wanted to go ahead and release what I've done so far here.
I hope you have fun, and keep working towards those dreams~! All the best :)
Controls:
Player 1 - [WASD] or [Arrow Keys] and [Spacebar] to eat Fishies. [ESC] to Pause.
<Please Note Two Player Mode Requires a Controller.>
Player 2 - [Left Stick] and the [South Button] X to eat Fishies. [Start] to Pause.
<Two Player Mode BROKEN In WEBGL Build and Requires Downloading the Game. I was Only Able to test 2 Player Controls with my Logitech G Dual Action Game Pad because I'm too broke to get a proper controller so results may vary. If you have any problems please let me know!>
Summary:Follow your heart and kiss the fish! Escape the shark in one player mode and get to that fish as fast as you can! Or have a friendly race against a friend in two player mode!
Eat little fishies to recover health, but don't eat too many! You'll get heavy, and you'll draw the shark!

You made a pretty neat game. I like the art along with the animation of the background and the god rays in the water. Although the movement is pretty slippery, I feel like it works for this game.
I only encountered one bug but it was frequent and it required me to refresh my game. I think your health is too plentiful and I didn't realize you could eat the fish until I read the description. I feel like the music may not fit this game.
Overall, its a pretty solid game and I think its impressive for your first multiplayer split screen game and second game jam game.
I really appreciate your input Manic! I agree, the music doesn't really fit, I rushed to make something very quickly right before the deadline and had a hard time getting that underwater vibe I was looking for. Creating beautiful music is something I want to improve at.
I was excited about this project so I continued to work on it after the submission deadline, so hopefully the bug that you encountered won't be in the game once I update it after the jam voting period ends.
Hope things are going well on your end, keep following those game dev dreams!
